Social safety at our badminton club
At our club, social safety is paramount. We want everyone to feel welcome, respected, and safe – regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, or athletic level. Badminton is for everyone, and we are actively committed to creating an environment where the enjoyment of sports goes hand in hand with mutual respect.
Whether you're young or old, playing recreationally or training enthusiastically – everyone counts. We have clear rules of conduct and address each other respectfully and positively. Bullying, discrimination, inappropriate behavior, or exclusion have no place here.
Confidential Advisor
Have you experienced something that's bothering you, or do you want to discuss something you'd rather not share with a coach or board member? Then you can contact our confidential advisor, Anne Siblez. She is specially trained and has completed the "In Safe Hands" course through the municipality.
Anne is there for anyone with questions or concerns about social safety. She listens confidentially, without judgment, and helps you in a way that suits you.
How we work towards a safe sports environment:
- All coaches have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
- All volunteers have signed the NOC*NSF Code of Conduct.
- We have clear agreements about etiquette and boundaries.
This way, together we create a club where you feel safe, where you can be yourself, and where you can enjoy playing sports.
