On 23 March, the Dutch government tightened up measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus. For sports, this means that no conferences, training, festivals, events and tournaments for which a permit is required may be organized until 1 June. The prohibition to open sports and fitness clubs (sports accommodations and sports facilities), including swimming pools, sports halls and sports fields, still applies in any case until 6 April. NOC * NSF is in consultation with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport about what this means in practice, for example for outdoor sports and for competitions.
For BVA this means that we do not play badminton until at least 6 of April.
Badminton Vereniging Amsterdam is a cosy badminton club in the center of Amsterdam. We play and train on Tuesday and Thursday in sportcentrum De Pijp. Our members come from all over the world. Players of every level are welcome, from beginners to advanced players. Notwithstanding the cosy atmosphere, we train hard and participate with several teams in the competition organised by the Dutch Badminton Society.
